	2.0 Software Release Notes

	    2.1 IBM RCM Software RELEASE NOTES (Version 2.0)

	    	This software and firmware is an update for the IBM ACT Product line
	    	and includes functionality for the USB Conversion Option (UCO).

	    2.2 The following are features/enhancements to RCM/LCM Firmware.

		1.	UCO - USB Conversion Option for connection to USB only
			Servers.
		2.	Diagnostics -The OSCAR commands screen has been updated to
			provide diagnostics capability to the local user.
		3.	Remote User Preemption of Local User - The appliance will
			allow a remote user that has Administrator or Appliance
			Administrator access level privilege to preempt a local user
			who is currently connected to a server.
		4.	PS/2 Reset - Currently, The Local user can cause a reset
			sequence to be sent to the currently connected server by
			selecting the "Reset PS/2" button on the OSCAR Commands
			screen. If the server is not running Windows, the reset
			sequence can result in the possible loss of keyboard and/or
			mouse functionality. A new PS/2 Reset Warning message
			alerts the user to this possibility and gives him the option
			to cancel the reset operation.
		5.	Scan Feature/Menu Select -The scan screen in OSCAR has been
			updated to allow the local user to define a list of servers
			to include while in scan mode and the amount of time to
			display each server.
		6.	Sorting OSD List by Port - If the local user sorts an OSCAR
			list by Port the list will display either the Name or eID
			for each list entry based on the user's default sort
			preference (selected on the OSCAR Menu screen). If the
			default sort order is Names the port sorted lists will show
			the entry's name by default, otherwise the port sorted lists
			will show the entry's eID. The user can override this
			default	behavior in any screen by first sorting the OSCAR
			list by Name or eID, then by Port. In this case, the port
			sorted list will display the Name or eID based on the user's
			previous selection. This override mechanism is local to the
			current screen, and is forgotten when the user leaves the
			screen.
		7.	Toggle Name/eID - The Names screen in OSCAR has been
			modified to include a "Toggle Name/eID" button. This button
			causes the first field in all the rows to toggle between the
			COs Name and the COs eID. The reason for adding this new
			button is to make it easier to manage changing the names
			when several COs on the same port have the same name.

	    2.3 The following are features/enhancements to the NetBAY Virtual
		Console Software application.

		1.	Video Viewer Scan Mode Feature - The NetBAY Virtual Console
			software client application has been updated to provide a
			Video Viewer scan mode feature for viewing servers. The
			primary purpose of the scan mode is to allow the user to
			observe a small image of each server to determine if there
			is anything wrong with the server that might need the
			attention of the user.
		2. Server Name in Full Screen - The software client application
			has been modified to display the server name when in full
			screen mode.
		3.	Video Viewer Macro Updates - To provide functionality for
			servers that need to distinguish between the left and right
			Alt, Ctrl and Shift keys, primitives have been added to the
			Video Viewer macro creation capability so that the left and
			right Alt, Ctrl, and Shift keys may be specified.
		4. Connections Window - The server connection path screen has
			been modified to also display the IP Address of the RCM and
			the physical port number that the CO cable is attached to.
		5.	Security Lockout - The Security Lock-Out feature will
			temporarily disable an account if the user enters an invalid
			password five consecutive times. If a user attempts to
			login to a locked account, the software client application
			will display an appropriate error message. All accounts
			(user, user admin, and appliance admin) are subject to this
			lockout policy.
		6.	Remote User can Preempt Local User - The software client
			application has been updated to provide the capability for
			a user that has Administrator or Appliance Administrator
			access rights to preempt a local user who is currently
			connected to a server.

	    2.4 IBM RCM Software RELEASE NOTES (From Version 1.2a)

	    	This firmware solved the following problems:

	    	1.	Fixed the following Foreign Language Keyboard issues:
                	- When an operator entered certain keystrokes on a remote
	          	client workstation through an international keyboard (e.g.:
			German), the character that should have appeared on the
			remote target device did not appear correctly. In addition,
			keystrokes for primarily European keyboards, such as the
			ALT-GR were not trasmitted properly.

	    	2.	Novell Macro Primitives support
                	- The following new macro primitives have been added to
			support the creation of macros for Novell target devices.
                    	* Alt-Left-PRESS
                    	* Alt-Left-RELEASE
                    	* Alt-Right-PRESS
                    	* Alt-Right-RELEASE
                    	* Ctrl-Left-PRESS
                    	* Ctrl-Left-RELEASE
                    	* Ctrl-Right-PRESS
                    	* Ctrl-Right-RELEASE
                    	* Shift-Left-PRESS
                    	* Shift-Left-RELEASE
                    	* Shift-Right-PRESS
                    	* Shift-Right-RELEASE

	3.0 Known Issues:

	    3.1 APPLIANCE:

	    	1.	Ballistic mouse occurs when it is hotplugged on a local
			port on an RCM. Problem can be resolved by performing
			a second hotplug or by conducting a PS/2 reset.
	    	2.	Help screens in LCM 2.0.6.3 refer to RCM instead of LCM.
	    	3.	Incorrect instructions in User Status disconnect screen
			for LCM and RCM. Under OSCAR -> Commands -> User Status,
			the instructions should say that you must type Alt+A,
			Alt+B or Alt+C, or click on A, B or C with the mouse,
			to disconnect.
	    	4.	The LAN is referenced in the LCM Diagnostic section, which
			is local only. Disregard the LAN references in this
			section.

	    3.2 CLIENT:

	    	1.	When using RedHat Linux 7.2 OS, NumLock "on" blocks all
			alpha input from the keyboard for Video Viewer for French,
			Italian, and Spanish keyboards. If this occurs, turn
			Numlock "off" to return back to normal

	    3.3 Resolved Issues (from version 1.2a):

	    	1.	In the Database Export dialog, when you typed in a file
			name, then changed the file type, the name became blank.
			The typed in name should have remained in the file name
			field after changing the file type. The workaround for
			this was to select the type of file first (*.tsv or *.csv),
			then enter the file name.
